About Urban Village Pubs

Urban Village Pub Company is an independent pub company founded by Ian Grundy and Gavin Drew. We currently operate four pubs in the South East of England. We are supported by Rufus Hall as Non-exec Chairman and Steve Hipgrave as Operations Manager. Our vision is to take the best characteristics of village pubs and blend with the more contemporary environment of an urban pub. Each pub has the relaxed, informal and friendly attributes of the Great British pub combined with a modern, contemporary and vibrant environment that has a strong sense of identity within the local community. Each of our pubs share a love for great beer. Every pub has an ever-changing range of cask ale, often from local, small breweries. Each pub has a self-service fridge, which is stocked with more than 30 beers, and our craft beer walls see the most interesting keg beers from some of the finest breweries on the planet. It's going to be love at first bite...all our food is made with a whole lot of love with some of the freshest ingredients from suppliers we trust. Our head of food, Sarah Thomas produces dishes which are interesting, tasty, uncomplicated and affordable. Our pubs are all about bringing people together because what’s more important than being with friends and family? We want our customers to spend time with us and have a thoroughly good time; we instil in our teams the need for them to put the people who visit our pubs at the very centre of what they do. Our independence allows us to listen and adapt, delivering what our customers want each and every time they visit. We are passionate about ensuring our customers enjoy their time in any of our pubs whatever their reason for visiting.
