About Urban Visuals

Based in Toronto, Urban Visuals is a boutique design firm specialising in responsive lighting and digital media for interiors, architecture and the built environment. Our approach to design is multi disciplinary and has evolved by applying specific ideas about how 'virtual' 2D design can be fused with the 'real' physical form of 3D design to create experiences that are both visceral and informative. Our portfolio of work is a testament to this evolution, we started by creating temporary landscapes of projected graphics and have arrived at fully responsive permanent interior environments based in embedded LED systems and digital video displays. Recent projects consist of sound responsive walls or ceilings in hospitality venues, and digitally driven retail exhibits such as the Aritzia flagship store on 5th Avenue in New York.
