About Urbanlab nordic
URBANlab nordic is a Danish architecture office co-founded by Lars Aaris and Anne Kathrine Aaris Edslev as a collaborative office practicing architecture and urban design. URBANlab nordic is the effort of knowledge and talent, trusting that architecture matters and makes a difference in our every day life. Our projects span in scales, from large, urban proposals and housing to landscape architecture, urban design and installations. Our primary interest is in forward-looking projects that speculate on a more resilient and resourceful tomorrow. Sustainable urban planning focusing on storm water management, investegating new models of housing structures, giving attention to the spaces in between, and a high quality of life. URBANlab nordic brings creativity and collaboration to each design project. We view challenges as opportunities to create memorable buildings and places that are both beautiful and surprising. We work with talented multidisciplinary teams with the highest levels of expertise and experience in building architectural and urban design projects. Our design process is characterized by deep inquiry and collaborative exchange; our design work is based on intensive research and an experimental approach. We strive to invent innovative, environmentally responsible design solutions and create spaces that establish healthy connections between people and their environments. Built work to date includes residential buildings, houses, and city scape planning + recreational landscapes.
