About Utah PTA

Utah PTA is the largest volunteer child advocacy organization in Utah, representing over 70,000 members across 600 schools. As a member of the nearly 3 million-strong National PTA, Utah PTA unites parents, educators, students, and community members who are committed to making a difference in the lives of children. We support national programs and legislative efforts that align with the needs of Utah’s public school children and actively participate in statewide committees, coalitions, conferences, and youth programs. Utah PTA hosts an annual Leadership Convention, a Legislative Conference, and PTA Day at the Legislature to train leaders, set legislative policy and priorities, and engage members in advocacy. We promote family engagement through resources like the National Standards for Family-School Partnerships and offer leadership and legislative training. Key student programs include Reflections, Student Leadership Groups, and Battle of the Bands. We advocate for all children, monitor education legislation, and serve as a watchdog for School Trust Lands to ensure funds benefit Utah students. Utah PTA proudly supports public education and empowers families to be strong advocates for every child.
