About Utah Trail Corporation
The Utah Trail Association is a nonprofit organization dedicated to establishing Utah’s first north-to-south long-distance hiking trail. Our mission is to create a continuous, sustainable trail that showcases the state’s diverse landscapes, from the high alpine wilderness of the Uinta Mountains to the breathtaking red rock canyons of the south. We work in collaboration with federal, state, and local land management agencies to ensure responsible trail development while preserving Utah’s natural beauty and wildlife. Our goal is to secure official recognition as a State Scenic Trail and, ultimately, a National Scenic Trail. Our efforts include advocacy, trail planning, community outreach, and environmental stewardship. We partner with local communities, outdoor enthusiasts, and conservation organizations to promote responsible recreation, conservation, and trail accessibility. Through memberships, volunteer initiatives, and fundraising, we aim to build and maintain a world-class trail for hikers of all backgrounds. The Utah Trail Association is committed to fostering a trail community that supports outdoor education, sustainable land use, and a shared passion for adventure. By working together, we can establish a trail that will serve future generations, offering a unique and immersive way to experience Utah’s unparalleled landscapes.
