After absorption, these chemicals mimic the actions of estrogen and increase the risk of breast cancer by altering hormone and endocrine function. There is strong evidence that these chemicals can and do effect all of us....babies, children, teens, women and men! The exposure to these toxic chemicals DO accumulate in our bodies and can add up to harm! It all can be very confusing and frustrating to know what is safe to buy when you shop. You may find something in a certain store that you know is OK but, not all products from a particular line of products are safe. We have done the research for you and will guarantee that all of our products meet our three strict requirements. *All must earn the lowest toxicity rating of 0 - 3 by The Environmental Working Group's SKIN DEEP cosmetic safety database. Products are rated on a 0 - 10 toxicity scale. Zero being least toxic....ten being most toxic. As a result, we won't always carry a company's complete line of products...if an individual product doesn't meet our toxicity standards, we won't sell it! *All must sign "The Compact for Safe Cosmetics" (The pledge to not use cancer-causing or hormone disrupting ingredients in their products. *All must fully disclose product ingredients. *All must earn our "Seal of Approval" from our product testers throughout the country.
