Uwams Supportive Living Ltd. (USL) has been in operation since 1994. The Program provides supportive living for seniors and adults who need help with their activities of daily living which may include but not limited to: medication assistance and administration, bathing, dressing, prompting, medical appointments etc. Uwams Supportive Living Ltd. strongly believes in positive home environments that fosters independence, dignity, self-esteem, respect and relationships among adults and also supports them to be part of the mainstream society. Individuals in the Program are encouraged and supported to play an active role in the support they receive and how the services are provided. Most of the services will be determined on an individualized basis. Uwams Supportive Living is located in the South East community of Acadia, the neighbourhood of Acadia has accepted and welcomed us in their midst. USL has established working relationships with several community professionals and organizations that assist in providing the best care possible to its target population. We want our residents to feel part of the wider community while they’re in a non-institutional home environment.
