About Valere Bundled Solutions
In 2015, four fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeons from three different practices formed Delta Joint Management, LLC in Greensboro, NC with the goal of creating an outpatient joint replacement program through the vehicle of bundled payments. After gaining experience in the BPCI program, these physicians realized there was a great opportunity to align incentives of the payer, the patient, the physician and the ambulatory surgery center to create a new paradigm of care delivery for joint replacements. They partnered with The Surgical Center of Greensboro (an affliate of SCA) and signed the first commercial bundled payment contract in the country with Blue Cross Blue Shield of NC. In the subsequent years, Delta signed 9 additional bundled payment contracts, including all the major payers, and also added 10 additional surgeons to the program. With this success came many inquiries from surgeons, practice administrators, ASC companies and others. In order to meet the need for helping, Valere Bundled Solutions, LLC was formed in 2017 by a team including these four surgeons and a few other key leaders. In just a couple of years, Valere now has clients from all across the country. Our goal is to help them create an outpatient joint replacement program through the vehicle of bundled payments. We offer consulting services as well as a software platform to run the program called ValereCARE. This tool is both a clinical and financial platform to mange the patient and the bundle throughout the episode of care. Following the Covid-19 pandemic and the rapid progression of total joints to the ASC’s, our company is pivoting to provide consulting services to help ASCs develop their outpatient joint replacement program. We have managed over 1200 outpatient joint surgeries. Our team consists of outpatient joint replacement surgeons, practice administrators, case managers, and ASC administrators.
