The Valley Shakespeare Festival is a non-profit outdoor theater festival that is dedicated to bringing the great works of Shakespeare, as well as his contemporaries, to the All-American Naugatuck Valley. Imagine enjoying an evening of world-class theatre, under a starlit sky by the banks of the Housatonic River at the beautiful Shelton Veteran’s Memorial Park. With a lush green lawn beneath your feet, and a flawless production before your eyes, this is at best, a Mid-Summer Night’s Dream. Education • Shakespeare for Kids programs that offer beginner activities to encourage younger children to appreciate live performers with all family members. • For high school and college students to be able to start a career in theatre arts through rigoursly designed intern and apprentice programs. • Shakespeare for Seniors means that learning has no age limit! Shakespearean activities and engaging conversations on Shakespeare’s Theatre and works will be explored!
