About Value Edge Consulting Pty

Value Edge Consulting is a company established in 1992. We have a history of supporting a wide range of companies in Australia, PNG, Papua and Laos in the assessment, selection and development of staff and management. In 2004 we identified The Queensland Test, a language free and culture fair assessment of trainability/cognitive potential to use with a large (20,000 employees) gold and copper mine in Papua. Over the last 18 years we have worked with the late Emeritus Professor G Kearney AM RFD to further validate, develop the assessment as the Q Test. We then digitised the assessment in 2015 with partners in a company, My Potentia Pty Ltd. The company renamed the assessment as My Potentia (MP). VEC has passed the wide variety of psychology work on to a partner company Value Edge Pty Ltd to allow VEC to focus on working as one of two Principal Distributors of My Potentia. Initially we focused on providing the assessment to a number of sectors including mining, oil and gas, and education in countries with multiple languages. Recently we recognised that Australia is one of the most linguistically diverse countries in the world and yet it still uses English language based assessments of reasoning, disadvantaging most of those assessed for whom English is not their primary language. Our focus now is to make My Potentia accessible to all organisations who recognise this issue and want to use an assessment that is fair to all.
