About Values to Action

Our vision is to create a more nurturing world. Values to Action is a community of scientists, clinicians, and concerned citizens that seeks to leverage behavioral science, effect change, and make the world a better place for everyone. We target the world’s most common and costly problems, providing positive and preventive direction for communities to ensure everyone’s wellbeing. Our services fall into 3 categories: Nurturing Communities. We help communities overcome conflict by bringing people together around a shared vision of the qualities they want in their community. We help them create an Action Circle to promote these qualities throughout the community and to identify and address the most important concerns and problems in the community. Nurturing Children. The best way we can prevent disparities is to solve problems before they even start. In this case, providing children and families with necessary resources (skills, interests, values, and health habits) to create an environment where children can thrive, reducing a wide variety of important risk factors that impede social and economic mobility. Nurturing Environments. We need to widely promote the norms and values that support the evolution of more nurturing environments. And on the basis of those values, we need to promote programs, policies, and practices that minimize harm and maximize wellbeing from Behavioral Specialists in Healthcare to Juvenile Justice Reform, Climate Change and more.
