VANDERSTRAETEN is a general contractor with focus on public buildings and apartment buildings. Together with sister companies PEREMANS and EXECON, also active in industrial and commercial buildings, we cover the main part of Belgium. The group realizes a turnover of nearly 80 million EUR with 200 employees. The foundations made in the past provide a basis for the future. Vanderstraeten was established by Michel Vanderstraeten in 1935 and soon became one of Belgium’s major construction companies. In 1975, Carlos Vanderstraeten became the new company manager. As from 2000, day-to-day management is led by Michel Vanderstraeten. 1935 Vanderstraeten Michel starts his one-man business. 1945 approbation "class 1" for public bidding 1966 After years of continuous growth the firm is relocated out of the town’s centre 1973 approbation "class 8" for general contracting (cat. 8D). 1994 Occupation of a new complex in the town’s industrial zone. 1996 quality certificate ISO 9001 2000 Safety certificate VCA** 2005 Execon nv, a new construction company in Lummen. 2007 Acquisition of Peremans nv in Halle. 2013 Group turnover rises above € 75 million. the approbation certificate "class 8" allows Vanderstraeten to participate in highest class of public bidding. In addition Vanderstraeten disposes of several specific approbations in different domains: Class 8: D - General contracting of construction work D1 - Structural works and roofing works Class 6: D5 – General carpentry D20 – Metallic carpentry Class 5: D4 – Thermal and acoustical insulation E - General contracting of civil engineering G - General contracting of ground works Class 1: D24 – Restauration of monuments
