De geschiedenis van Vanhout begint reeds in 1928. Vandaag is het bedrijf uitgegroeid tot een gediversifieerde groep. Naast de aannemer Vanhout behoren ook Botec (studiebureau stabiliteit), HBS (afwerkingsbedrijf), Vanhout Projects (projectontwikkeling), Vanhout Facilities (facility management) en Isofoam (PUR schuimisolatiewerken) tot de groep. Samen tellen ze meer dan 300 medewerkers en realiseren ze een omzet van ca 100 miljoen euro. Vanhout is actief in een brede waaier van bouwactiviteiten: kantoorgebouwen, utilitaire en residentiële projecten, burgerlijke bouwkunde, milieutechnologie en industriële productie-eenheden.
