About Vanstone Scott College

Vanstone Scott College is the first accredited private training institute to be approved by the provincial government of Newfoundland and Labrador in over 20 years. Opening it's doors in September 2019, the program offers the only specialized training in Medical Aesthetics and Oncology treatments. We are the only Government registered Private Training Institute in Atlantic Canada that teaches Medical/Oncology Aesthetics, so this is a very unique program in the medical aesthetics field. In our 62 week program (16 months) we keep our classes small so the student will get the most from the program and individualized attention. As part of the education we offer, our students will become proficient in Fundamental Aesthetics (students with no prior aesthetics training) which will include manicures, pedicures, spa facials, waxing, makeup, lash/brow tinting, body wraps/relaxation massage, business skills, Anatomy/Physiology, skin analysis, sterilization/sanitation, etc. as well as Advanced Medical/Oncology Aesthetics which includes the use of laser (hair removal & IPL), laser tattoo removal, microdermabrasion (diamond tip and hydro), microneedling, body contouring, Medical Terminology, clinical and advanced makeup, chemical peels, ultrasonic facials, Oncology Aesthetics, Electrolysis plus various face and body machines the students will train on. We also work with provincial industry professionals (Landells Medical Aesthetics Clinic, Bense SurgiSpa, The Gold Method, Spa at the Monastery, Dr. Shane Seal, Dr. J. Coffey, among many others) to offer our students work placements during an included 4-week work term. We cater to students seeking new opportunities after high school as well as those already working in the aesthetics / skincare / oncology industry. Our graduates can open their own businesses, work in dermatology clinics, medi-spas, skincare clinics, oncology related clinics that help those dealing with the impacts of skin cancer in particular.
