About Varuna Lestari

Balsa Lestari is a Belgium owned company with parts of production in Belgium and Indonesia. We offer a full range of panels for the Yacht and camper industries. While developing the "Balsa Lestari Panel" we worked towards the control of the entire process. From seedling to the plantation and from endgrain to finished sandwich panels. We are not a traditional company, our motto is simple, give more than you take, in short Business based conservation. We don't run our plantation in the conventional way either. For us, the Balsa tree starts its life as a nursing corp to rejuvenate the most degraded and abandoned lands on the islands of East Indonesia, where all the needed natural elements fall together to grow high-quality and low-density Balsa. Once the Balsa revived the degraded landscapes, we harvest, replant with permanent forest, and move on to the next area which needs restoration. This way we build forests while doing business and help to fight against the massive deforestation worldwide. Next to our Balsa panels, we offer acoustic Cork panels and a range of different types of plywood. All panels can be finished with HPL layers.
