About VentureOutNJ

VentureOutNJ is a grassroots LGBTQIA+ organization committed to cultivating joyful, affirming, and trauma-informed spaces for queer and trans individuals primarily across New Jersey. Our mission is to build community through connection, healing, and collective empowerment- centering the experiences of those most often marginalized, including trans, nonbinary, neurodivergent, and BIPOC members. We offer peer-led, accessible programming that spans nature outings, creative workshops, harm reduction education, mutual aid, and support spaces. With over 2,000 members and growing, we have hosted 30+ events annually since 2023, ranging from social gatherings and skillshares to book clubs, Narcan trainings, multi-day retreats and more. VentureOutNJ is powered by a diverse volunteer leadership team and strengthened through partnerships with local organizations. We reject gatekeeping, uphold dignity, and strive to ensure every person feels seen, celebrated, and supported regardless of identity, background, or experience. Most importantly, we pledge to hold ourselves accountable to ongoing growth.
