FIRM PROFILE Since our inception in 1972, we have been a leader and an innovator in pre-construction cost control. We developed the elemental estimating systems, line item estimate computer reports, and computer graphic take-off processes that have become standard throughout the industry. We estimate over 200 new/renovation projects every year, which translates into $12 billion worth of construction. Extensive bid and reconciliation data enable us to benchmark institutional buildings at appropriate current levels. This provides owners and architects with detailed and accurate costing reports based on information from our comprehensive database, knowledgeable staff, and developed processes. These realistic project budgets from the outset help minimize the loss of program and scope, and costly re-design that can minimize unexpected costs and outcomes. SERVICE BEYOND ESTIMATION Going beyond estimation and cost control has always been a priority for us. We have built a suite of beyond estimation processes that we can use for your project. We also have market outlook forecasting tools to establish appropriate escalation contingencies, benchmarking and cost modeling tools to set appropriate budgets, options and program analysis tools to optimize your project, and procurement strategies to set your project up for success. CONSTRUCTION ECONOMISTS Since 2006, we have been reporting on the state and direction of the construction market. Our guiding philosophy in forecasting is that inflation targets will propel monetary policy and subsequently construction prices. This approach has been successful at forecasting price movements through the last recession, and current economic expansion over the last 15 years, and in the current pandemic impacted market.
