About Vernaculum
Vernaculum was founded by a Brazilian-British duo who identified a gap in the market for translations and other international communication services in Brazil - high quality work carried out by native speakers of the languages involved in every project. We believe that translations and proofreading carried out by non-native speakers threatens the cultural and unique facets found in every language. The development of information technology has without a doubt provided a number of useful support tools for the translation process, however these tools are increasingly used in ways which do not always produce the most accurate translation, and often completely ignore linguistic nuances. Translating, interpreting and editing require culture awareness, which is why we rely on a multinational team to properly convey the essence of every translated and proofread document.
