Vertec Scientific SA (Pty) Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of Vertec Scientific UK, which was founded in 1978. Vertec SA, founded in 2006 is at the forefront of bringing new and innovative healthcare products to Southern Africa, where we work together with Hologic to bring the best in breast care to South Africa. We offer the South African market the entire range of Hologic’s breast products including the Dimensions mammography system, the SA market leader. Additionally, we are UK’s leading distributor of a wide portfolio of products including X-ray and ultrasound imaging, radiotherapy systems and consumables. Our Management team have formed close relationships within the radiology community over the last 34 years, where we have been distributing the Hologic product line since 1999. Our team of highly specialized staff offers a wealth of experience in sales, service and application, where we currently employ 21 employees, with sales and service capability positioned in Johannesburg, Bloemfontein, Cape Town and Durban to enable rapid and efficient response to customer needs country wide. We have a sales footprint in South Africa and the Sub-Sahara regions with units installed in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Namibia, Zambia and Lesotho. Vertec have taken imaging and women’s health to the highest level in South Africa.
