About VET TEC Working Group
The VET TEC Working Group is a non-profit technical assistance group for The Department of Veterans Affairs, Education Benefits teams. This group is open to all approved VET TEC providers. Founded in 2019 at the beginning of the VET TEC pilot program, the working group meets monthly to discuss budget, approvals, processing, and meaningful employment experiences across providers and in collaboration with the VA. The VET TEC Working Group regularly contributes to legislative sessions, working closely with House Veterans Affairs and Senate Veterans Affairs to draft, edit, and pass new bills. The VET TEC Working Group collaborates with industry leaders to develop and influence policies related to workforce development, technology hiring initiatives, and the importance of supporting veterans in civilian careers.
