In the UK we are extremely proud of our Armed Forces, along with their colleagues within the Emergency Services they serve us without question and when required they place themselves in danger to protect us. For many of them it’s a true vocation, it’s more than just a job, it’s a career where they will be trained to the very highest standards. These careers can take them around the world gaining experience and further skills along the way. As these careers come to an end, many take the next step as Veterans and further develop their skills, as they create the next phase of their working lives many set up in business for themselves. Our Veterans have a wealth of knowledge and experience, they continue to add value to our communities and the country as a whole. Add together these skills with an attitude to ‘get the job done’ along with professionalism and care, and you have a desirable mix of service, you have a Veteran that can be trusted to provide a 5***** service. Our Armed Forces and the Emergency Services help create a highly skilled and motivated workforce. After their service careers finish, we have Veterans who have easily transferable skills, with support, they can then create successful businesses. The pride we have in these people remain, and where possible we endeavour to utilise their skills. Launching in Spring 2018, Veterans Next Step is the one place where you can find ex-forces/services, with Skills and Trades from over 60 sectors ranging from Electricians and Builders to Computer Repairs and Trained Physio’s. The Veterans Next Step website allows users to search by their desired skill or trade and by their locality. The search results will present each person’s skillset and details about them. Veterans Next Step is not a middle-man who take a commission or slice of the work cost, rather we provide the required information to allow both parties to talk.
