Prior to 1990 he played soccer growing up and other athletics that involved or required filling balls. Kerry has been a soccer coach in Utah for the last 12 years and holds a D national license. The aggravations of breaking needles and ruining athletic balls over the past 35 years lead him to the invention of the Ball Spike the flexible and bendable inflation needle.
