ASOCIACION VIA CIRCULO JEFFERSON is a U.S. government exchange program alumni association. This association was born in 2000 thanks to an initiative by a group of former participants in the prestigious International Visitor Leadership Program sponsored by the US Department of State. This program was launched in 1940, it is the main professional exchange program of the United States Department of State, which seeks to foster mutual understanding with other nations through short-term visits to the United States, which are carefully designed for foreign leaders (current and future). These visits reflect the professional interests of international visitors and support the foreign policy objectives of the United States. Since its inception, thousands of people have participated in the International Visitor Leadership Program, including hundreds of Heads and former Heads of State and Government, thousands of ministers, and many other leaders from the public and private sectors.
