There is substantial evidence that involvement of patients makes a significant and positive difference in the design of the health care system, the quality of treatments, patient safety and patients’ general satisfaction with the health care system on a broad scale. The Danish Knowledge Center of User Involvement in Health Care will work to gather, share and develop knowledge, methods and experiences on user involvement from both Denmark and abroad to the advantage of all actors in the Danish health care system.
