For over two decades Founding Director of Vibrant Coaching, Lindsay Masvaleix worked in a fast-paced, and demanding business environment, while at the same time raising two young children, with all the chaos that family life had to throw at her! During this time, she struggled with ongoing back pain, and it was getting increasingly worse. The pain had begun to spread to her shoulder, groin, and my neck. Her movement universe was shrinking, and she stopped doing the activities that she loved. She became obsessed with the pain and was imprisoned by fear. Oblivious to it at the time, she went on to recognise that she was living with a constant current of underlying anxiety. She was totally unaware of the impact that this, along with past and present stressors was having on her overall wellbeing. Her overwhelm was presenting itself as physical pain as is the case for many of us. In her search for relief, she had endless appointments with doctors, specialists, physios, osteopaths, acupuncture, underwent MRI scans, attended pain management courses, but there was little to no success. She was left in a hopeless place. Life had lost its shine and was anything but vibrant! The turning point came when she found SIRPA (Stress Illness Recovery Practitioners Association) and with the support of working with a SIRPA coach, her life was transformed in ways that she never imagined possible! She now lives pain free, and is all the happier for it. So inspired by her recovery, she set up Vibrant Coaching to help others prevent and overcome stress illness and ongoing pain conditions. Vibrant offers individual, group and workplace coaching and workshops.
