About Victoria Poetry Project
the Victoria Poetry Project is a non-profit society that is dedicated to providing access to spoken word poetry on Lekwungen territory (now known as Victoria, BC) we are the home of: - Tongues of Fire (open mic + a featured poet, September - May) - Vic Slam (competitive poetry slam to be on the Victoria Slam Team + a featured poet, September - April) - Raising Voices (middle/high school poetry workshops, September - June) - Victorious Voices (high school slam poetry festival, spring break in April) - writing and performance workshops (as they happen) please contact us at vppdirector@gmail.com for show/workshop/newsletter inquiries
