About VideONet

VideONet was founded by Nilhe, one of the leading companies on the Swedish surveillance market, in the end of the last millennium. We had identified a series of bottlenecks within the hardware dominant surveillance technology, such as proprietary systems that were extremely limited and components that didn’t cooperate. We wanted to develop a software that could solve these problem and integrate in all directions. In the summer of 2001 the first VideONet system was up and running in a Paper&Pulp Company, saving more than € 100 000 per year for that company. That same company today in 2011 have a VideONet system that can handle more than 200 cameras - and they are just moving into the new generation with virtualized video management and are using VSaaS in their supply chain with images over their extranet to show suppliers the status of reserves of essential commodities and the need for replenishment. This is a typical VideONet user story where the system is tested in an important but limited part of a site or process and when the user has understood the benefits the system gets implemented site-wide and multi-purpose.
