About Vietnamese Society at City University of London

The Vietnamese Society at City University of London(Vietsoc City), under the control of the Student Union, is one of the largest Vietnamese Society in the UK with approximately 150 members including both Undergraduate and Postgraduate Students. The Society is created in order to connect all Vietnamese Students who are living and studying in the UK through a number of events. Two of the largest events held by Vietsoc City are King and Queen - a beauty contest and Student Challenge - an intellectual contest. Student Challenge is a very "traditional" contest held on an annual basis, gathers hundreds of excellent students from across UK, including Oxford, Cambridge, UCL, LSE, King's College, etc... to take part in 3 rounds, consists of a variety of academic questions which requires a wide range of knowledge and the thirst of studying in order for a contestant to compete with others to gain the highest prize. This is also the largest intellectual contest held by Vietnamese students in the UK. In 2018, King and Queen, a brand new format of beauty contest, held by the new Vietsoc Committee, is on the process of preparation and will be "on air" in October 2018. Along with Student Challenge, King and Queen will be the second largest event hosted by Vietsoc City.
