The Vietnamese Society in Oxford (VOX) was founded in 2000 by some of the first Vietnamese students who studied at the University of Oxford in the UK, one of the most historical and prestigious universities worldwide. VOX' dual mission statement is "Home Within & Impact Beyond". "Home Within": VOX strives to be a home outside of home for people of Vietnamese heritage in Oxford by building communities, fostering relationships, and promoting cross-cultural exchange. "Impact Beyond": At the same time VOX serves as platform for interdisciplinary dialogue and knowledge exchange at the intersection of world-class academia and Vietnamese business, policy, and culture.
