About Vietnamese Students Association at the University of Houston
Since its establishment in 1979, the Vietnamese Students Association at the University of Houston (UH VSA) has grown to become one of the largest Asian-interest student organizations on campus. Our mission is to preserve and promote Vietnamese culture, give back to the community, and encourage unity among people of all identities and backgrounds, which we fulfill by offering various cultural, leadership, service, and social events and opportunities to Vietnamese and non-Vietnamese students alike. UH VSA was awarded Most Resilient VSA from UNAVSA in 2024. UH VSA was awarded Best Cultural Programming and Most Resilient VSA from UVSA South in 2023-2024. UH VSA received the Cultural Empowerment Award at CCA Banquet 2023. UH VSA was awarded Best Cultural Programming and Best Philanthropic Programming from UVSA South in 2022-2023. UH VSA was awarded Third Place at UNITY 2022. UH VSA was awarded Second Place at Cultural Explosion 2021. UH VSA was awarded Best Performance from UVSA South in 2019-2020. UH VSA was recognized as the Most Outstanding Student Organization at UH in 2015.
