Viking Electric was founded in 1964 in St. Paul, Minnesota as a family-owned electrical distributor. Viking Electric opened with 7,000 square feet of warehouse space with a mission to be a leader in the electrical distribution industry; and provide quality products, services and solutions. Today, we have grown to 24 locations across Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Chicago, Illinois with 450,000+ square feet of warehouse space and 30,000 inventory items from more than 400 stock manufacturers. Company-wide, Viking Electric has a fleet of 75 delivery trucks that travel more than 3.3 million miles and deliver more than 500,000 orders annually. It is our vision to be the indispensable electrical supply chain partner central to our customers' success. Viking Electric’s customers include residential and commercial contractors, as well as the industrial sector. To better serve our customers, Viking Electric employs product specialists who provide technical expertise in the areas of automation, datacom, eBusiness solutions, lighting, switchgear, and tools and safety. In addition to being a leader in the electrical distribution industry, Viking Electric provides planning and coordination services, repackaging and kitting, staging and storage, logistics and delivery, 24-hour emergency services, as well as real time reporting and technical support.
