Just an hour from Milan, Turin and Genoa, Piemonte is an unspoiled land of rolling hills lined with vineyards and the home of some of the world's finest wines. Villa Giara sits atop one of these hills, with panoramic views of Italian farmhouses, beautiful countryside and the picturesque village of Calosso, with its ancient castle. The property includes two farmhouses with nine en suite guest rooms, a large pool with sun deck, nature trails, an outdoor pizza oven and dining terrace, meditation room, boutique and vineyards. The rooms are decorated with antiques, art, ceramics and textiles, collected from around the world. The decor is stylish, eclectic and comfortable. Most of the guest rooms have balconies and terraces, from which to enjoy the breathtaking vista. Villa Giara has been created by Stephen Croncota, the former Chief Marketing Officer of Versace, and Ricardo Baptista Fernandes, an artist and designer from Lisbon. They fell in love with Piemonte, and wanted to create a destination for discerning travelers from around the world, to come and appreciate a part of Italy away from the tourist crowds. Visits to wineries, truffle hunts, bicycle tours and hiking are all available.
