About Village2Village Project
Village2Village Project’s mission is to transform children with stolen futures into tomorrow’s leaders. We serve children and families in a remote district in Northeastern Uganda where more than four out of five families live in desperate poverty. Years of insurgency and rebel violence disrupted economic, educational and family life for many years, and now fewer than one in five children between ages 6 and 16 can perform at a second-grade level in math and reading. Into this environment, Village2Village Project has brought both help and hope. We have worked for more than 20 years investing deeply into one child at a time, believing that in time THE CHILDREN THEMSELVES will change their country and their world. V2V provides loving, comprehensive, community and faith-based care in partnership with the child’s extended family and a committed and involved sponsor. Our impact: University graduates in law, communications, medicine, accounting, education, business, civil engineering, nursing, lab technology and more, as well as children going farther in school than their guardians could dare to hope.
