The Villanova Wildcat Fund, formerly known as the Equity Society, is a student-managed investment fund managing a long-only equity portfolio with over $2.2m of assets under management. The Fund seeks to earn risk-adjusted excess returns above benchmark indexes using top-down fundamental analysis and social responsibility screening to select securities for investment. In 2024, the Fund outperformed its benchmark by over 10.90%. A priority of the Wildcat Fund, through the Villanova Investment Academy (VIA), is to prepare its students for successful careers in finance and investment-related fields. The leadership of the Wildcat Fund is responsible for promoting the professional development of VIA members by sponsoring learning seminars, facilitating networking opportunities, and providing mentorship programs.
