Virtualian www.virtualian.eu: a new way of teaching Italian online aimed at companies , schools, universities and individuals. Virtulian’s innovative teaching method combines the flexibility and technology of its online platform with the personal touch of a traditional language course: 1. The online Italian lessons are provided through a web platform that enables to simultaneously share and work on texts and audio or video files, for an experience that is very different to a simple Skype based lesson! 2. Using the model of the Flipped Classroom in Italian, grammar is taught using video lessons that students can access independently at home before practising the respective rules in a virtual classroom: everyone can learn Italian online at their own pace and lessons become the setting where students can actively practice using Italian. 3. Learning that is guided by a teacher can be replaced by an e-learning Italian course for beginners that students can take entirely on their own or which is blended, with an alternation of independent learning and lessons by a teacher of Italian for foreigners.
