The funds aim to generate a positive return over long term irrespective of the market cycle. In order to pursue this objective the fund will gain a long exposure to companies that are assumed to be trading in the public market at a price below its intrinsic value while seek a short exposure on the companies considered to be trading at an expensive valuation. The investment strategy is based on a “Fundamental Bottom Up + Catalysts” approach. This is integrated with a quantitative analysis to assess investment thesis and portfolio construction, against evidence provided by data. Considering ourselves a manager of our time, the strategy is based on a blending between discretionary approach to understand companies and manage ambiguity, with data driven approach to navigate the stock market. Investment case catalysts include: change in business drivers, balance sheet optimization and corporate activity. The core of our investment strategy outcome remains focused on fundamental, bottom-up + catalyst, with a research- intensive approach, led by Aimone Beretta. The ambition is to maximize our portfolio return adopting data driven advanced techniques, with Alberto Matuozzo establishing the quantitative analysis and risk management.
