VIS is the new name for Bergen Technology Transfer Office (BTO), which was established in 2004. VIS is an acronym and the name carries with it both wisdom and a call to showcase good ideas and value creation. VIS is owned by the University of Bergen, Haukeland University Hospital, Institute of Marine Research, Siva, Western Norway University of Applied Sciences, and NHH Norwegian Business School. In addition, we have eight partners: Christian Michelsen Research 7 NORCE, Uni Research / NORCE, Haraldsplass Diakonale Hospital, Helse Fonna, Sogn og Fjordane Knowledge Park, Nofima and Sjukehusapoteka Vest.
