About Visenleer

Visenleer is a multi-disciplinary project that works on 3 pillars (Education, services, and products). As for products, Visenleer is the first regenerative initiative that only uses ocean waste in the MENA region. Visenleer reuses the waste using a 100% organic way to create a sustainable textile material that doesn't harm the environment and can give more back, moving beyond neutralizing negative impacts and pushing towards positive effects. It contributes to better soil, cleaner water, and air to improve biodiversity. Not only the meat of the fish is used as food, but the fish are not caught only because of their skin. Our material is nine times more robust than standard leather and textiles, and our project results in zero CO2 emissions. We are creating a new revenue stream for the fishing community that has allowed the local fishermen to get 30% more for each fish they sell. Our product is produced on a much smaller scale and requires no harsh chemicals. Introducing our material will change the high-end fashion line industries from animal and faux leather into a greener and more sustainable alternative. As for Services, we are working on a cultivation-restoration project in El Manzala Lake, which is the biggest lake in Egypt. Our Cultivation project is growing and implanting Seaweed that would help the biodiversity in El Manzala Lake, and for the restoration, we are creating a new initiative where we 3D print the coral reefs and use technology to track the biodiversity, pollution, and fishing habits for the fishermen.
