Tattooing is both an ancient and sacred art form that has always been completely synergistic with nature, at least until recent developments in “Western” manufacturing and health practices. No one should argue that gloves, stainless steel, or precise machinery have facilitated optimal conditions in which to be tattooed, but many people are starting to question the efficacy and safety of petroleum based lubricants, creams, and soaps, often containing unnecessary and unnatural additives. These same people are proposing the possibility that in all of our technological advancement, in some cases we could have looked more thoroughly before leaping into mass-producing chemical and artificial products. Natural tattoo care is a fairly new factor in the industry, and it’s still quite rare to see such products enhanced with beneficial extracts.
