About VIV Home & Goods

Hi! I'm Laurel Schaffer, the owner of VIV Home & Goods. VIV is proudly woman-owned and woman-powered. I founded this company on the dream that impactful art, environments, and objects are created intentionally, with craft and care. I have spent the last three decades learning, seeing, listening, and discovering with artists of every genre around the globe toward that end. Most have been women. It is more important than ever to provide a platform to celebrate these artists, creators, writers, musicians, dancers, and business owners. VIV is grounded in stories: stories that come from personal histories, heritage brands, artisan makers, vintage, and the natural ecosystem in which we all live. VIV carries the imprint of my family, especially my grandmothers: Vivian, the Kansas glamour girl, and Eula Mae, the Southern Matriarch. The forces that shaped their lives and the gifts they passed on to me are reflected in themes of sustainability, handcraft, community and love.
