About VLM Press
VLM Press is the definitive solution for Brazilian writers living abroad and looking to publish their books. As Edivaldo A Fontes once said, identifying a problem and offering a compatible resolution is crucial to the success of any new venture. Before 2017, Brazilian writers in the United States faced significant challenges when publishing their books. Outsourcing the publication process to Brazil or Portugal proved expensive and time-consuming. Remote book editing posed issues with proofreading, design, and personal choices that require visual input. Shipping materials for review made the project unfeasible. Writers were left with only virtual proofs (in PDF format) and only sight of their book once it was ready after a long waiting period. VLM Press offers writers a unique solution to this problem. We are a Brazilian publisher in the United States, offering writers a local solution and the opportunity to oversee the production of their work with quality in every phase. We have developed a process that eliminates the common challenges writers face. We provide writers with a prototype of their book for evaluation and approval even before printing. The story of VLM Press began when our friend and writer, Isaias Sardinha, granted us the privilege of editing his book "Despertando Iniciativas Empreendedoras" as part of the "Empreendedores do Reino" project published in Brazil. That inspired us to create VLM Press, which emerged one year later to solve the problems faced by Brazilian writers in the United States.
