David Sinclair is an experienced professional and a fully qualified financial advisor, holding a Diploma in Financial Planning. He is passionate about understanding your unique financial aims and priorities, and finding the best way to achieve them. VMG Financial Planning’s name is born out of David's love for sailing. Velocity made good (VMG) is a term familiar to any competitive sailor – it’s a key measure of successful, effective and efficient movement towards a goal – and not always by taking the easiest or most direct route. This concept is key to David's financial planning philosophy – finding the most successful, effective and efficient way to reach your goals. David is driven by the desire to make a tangible difference in his clients lives, centred around the principle that your financial goals are deeply intertwined with your personal aspirations, hopes and needs. He believes there’s no such thing as one size fits all financial planning and that a personalised and tailored approach is always the best way. Offering advice across all areas of financial planning, including retirement, investments, and estate planning, David takes pride in providing the right solutions to meet your needs and long term support and guidance through ongoing advice (if requested) – walking with you and helping guide your financial journey in the years ahead. Outside of work David is an avid rugby fan and, by his own admission, a rather mediocre rugby player – but doesn’t let that stop him! He is passionate about a range of outdoor pursuits (particularly sailing, climbing and canoeing) holding instructor qualifications for these and more, and is an active member of his local church. He loves to cook, play fiendishly complicated board games and spend quality time with his amazing wife, wonderful son and 2 completely loopy dogs.
