Der Name Voelkel steht seit über 85 Jahren für traditionell hergestellte Frucht- und Gemüsesäfte, Fruchtsaftvariationen und Erfrischungsgetränke in Demeter- und Bio-Qualität. Das Sortiment umfasst über 200 Produkte und reicht von Muttersäften bis hin zu Smoothies. Noch heute ist die Bio-Kelterei aus dem Wendland mit rund 300 MitarbeiterInnen in Familienhand. Neben Seniorchef Stefan Voelkel haben auch seine vier Söhne in der Naturkostsafterei ihre Berufung gefunden und arbeiten im Unternehmen. Jurek, Boris und Jacob Voelkel sind außerdem gemeinsam mit dem kaufmännischen Leiter Christian Harder in der Geschäftsführung tätig. 2011 hat sich die Familie Voelkel dazu entschieden, das Unternehmen in eine Stiftung zu überführen, deren oberstes Ziel die Förderung der ökologischen, ökonomischen und sozialen Nachhaltigkeit ist. 90 Prozent des Gewinns fließen jährlich zurück in das Unternehmen.
