About Volunteering Gold Coast
VGC exists to demonstrate the power and impact of volunteering to create inclusive communities that encourage its members to connect, participate and give back. By delivering a quality experience through our leadership in volunteer management, advocacy, and targeted activities for members of the community in need. Everything we do ensures that we not only increase the number of people we support, but also enhance the impact that our services have on an individual and the broader community. Our Initiatives: Volunteering: We are the Gold Coast’s only Volunteer Resource Centre, connecting and supporting local Not-For-Profits and people in the community wanting to give back through volunteer recruitment, volunteer management, and training and support for volunteers and organisations. VGC Transport Services: For over 20 years we have been offering affordable transport options for older Australians over 65, people living with a disability and chronic illnesses, and more recently, NDIS recipients. This is championed by a team of volunteer drivers who are dedicated to providing a safe and efficient service. QCSS funded transport: Providing transport for people under 65 living with a disability and not eligible for the NDIS through the Queensland Community Support Scheme. Human Services & Community Support: Delivering NDIS transport and Aged Care Services and ensuring that Gold Coast residents are available to all opportunities available without any barriers in their way.
