Vorticity is a centre of excellence for aerospace systems, engineering consultancy and space systems development, specialising in entry, descent and landing systems for space vehicles. Vorticity is a world-class player in parachute and airbag system design for extra-terrestrial applications. Our team of aerospace engineers are rigorously analytical, creative and pragmatic in their consulting approach. Many of them have worked on notable missions including the development of the Huygens Descent Control Subsystem (DCSS), the parachute system that safely landed the Huygens probe on Saturn’s moon, Titan; NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in the Mars Science Laboratory mission using fluid structure interaction techniques to predict the parachute’s aerodynamic performance throughout its operational envelope and the MER parachute system.
