We are a research, development, and manufacturing company of advanced medical respiratory and ambulatory devices. We serve domestic and international markets with a superior line of products for hospitals, emergency medical services, disaster preparedness, and MRI/CT applications. VORTRAN® has engaged in an extensive research and development process to create the Pulmonary Modulation Technology (PMT) and an associated new line of fully automatic, disposable respiratory devices. These products are used to treat patients with pulmonary diseases in hospitals, acute care, post acute, homecare and EMS situations. Pulmonary Modulation Technology (PMT) represents a major advance in the field of respiratory care. PMT has made available a number of new treatment modalities that were not previously possible. PMT uses a unique adjustable Dual-Area-Valve mechanism (U.S. patented and other worldwide patents pending) to naturally sense and respond to a patient’s respiratory requirements and to provide reliable ventilatory support and treatment. The innovative PMT and the contained mechanism have made it possible to develop single patient, disposable, automatic, portable ventilatory support and treatment products which provide maximum reliability, quality, and cost effectiveness. PMT is very responsive to the respiratory needs of the patient. At high frequency the technology generates oscillations approaching the natural pulmonary frequency of the patient, providing maximum percussive penetration through the bronchial tubes. At low frequencies PMT is fully responsive to the patient, ensuring maximum ventilatory synchronizations and comfort.
