VOTARY has a cult following among beauty insiders who love how VOTARY natural face oils make their skin look and feel. Stocked exclusively by Liberty in London, Space NK and other premium beauty retailers. Working as a make-up artist to high-profile clients, Votary co-founder, Arabella Preston, used only oils to prep skin and in her own skincare routine. As her passion for oils grew, her kitchen table swiftly turned into a make-shift apothecary as she experimented with the different effects oils could have on the skin and the myriad ways essential oils affected mood. She soon noticed the “shoulder-drop” effect on clients. Two minutes spent massaging a beautiful oil into their skin would relax and calm and, just as importantly, result in glowing, healthy skin. Arabella’s friend and former employer Charlotte Semler was one such devotee and was able to visualise a future for VOTARY beyond the kitchen table. When Charlotte came on board a U.K.- based family oil business was appointed to produce the formulas on a larger scale and a design agency in New York City the branding. VOTARY is the perfect fusion of all these visions: Natural. Luxe. Beautiful.
