About Vtol Cwru
VTOL CWRU is Case Western Reserve University’s vertical flight student design team. Founded by a group of undergraduate engineers, the team designs, builds, and tests innovative electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft to compete in the Vertical Flight Society’s Design-Build-Vertical Flight (DBVF) competition. VTOL CWRU emphasizes rapid development, interdisciplinary collaboration, and hands-on engineering experience. In less than two years, the team won the VFS Competition with its fully student-designed fire-fighting hexacopter, Case Fire Control.
