With an average age of 8.7 years, our fleet is one of the youngest in the entire world. Chartering Since its foundation in 1898, chartering has been one of the most important pillars of Wagenborg. As one of the largest players in the area of chartering in northwest Europe, Wagenborg now undertakes the chartering for one in three ships that sail the Dutch flag. Wagenborg offers tailored shipping solutions. The holds of our entire fleet are box-shaped and meet the increasingly more complex transport needs of large and small transhipment companies. The transport chain can easily be composed from various vessels - from coastal shipping with far inland destinations to northern and southern European, Atlantic routes, the Great Lakes, South America and the Far East. Cargo The Chartering Department deals with a range of 'dry cargo', such as - ore and minerals; - coal and cokes; - grain and derivatives; - fertilisers; - kaolin; - bigbags and - break-bulk. Wagenborg is particularly specialised in - forestry products, including timber, paper and cellulose; - steel products, including pipes, plates, rolls and rails. - Project cargo, including industrial construction projects, wind mills, dredging material, steel tanks, coils, yachts and cranes.
