Award-winning fashion lensman Wai Teik founded his eponymous studio in 1998 in Singapore. It marked the beginning of the pursuit of capturing fleeting moments of beauty with fashion-savvy angles and perspectives. Ever since the inception of Wai Teik Photography, he has attained numerous internationally recognised photography awards under his belt. Having an acute sense of creative direction is the key element to the rich portrayal of any fashion ensemble. Wai Teik adopts a holistic approach to the creative process, possessing the uncanny ability to visualise how every aspect of the photo shoot comes into play. The creative visionary in Wai Teik renders value added-ness to every assignment he undertakes, resulting in high concept-driven fashion imagery. Often described as “pensive”dark in tonality, sensuality and expressiveness, Wai Teik’s distinctive style clearly shows an inherent understanding in drawing out the defining essence of clothes and models in image form.
